The Picture House in association with Happy Valley Pride have the perfect treat in store for us ahead of Valentines Day with this classic camp rom com from 1999.
Megan doesn’t think there’s anything abnormal about her All-American lifestyle: she’s a cheerleader (mainly to gaze at her teammates when she’s not putting up pictures of girls in her locker) and has a boyfriend (but she doesn’t like kissing him very much). But when her parents and friends conclude that she’s a lesbian, she’s shipped off to ‘sexual redirection’ school, full of openly queer misfits, where she can learn how to be straight. Will Megan be turned around to successful heterosexuality, or will she succumb to her feelings for one of her new classmates?
